Get more reach with a small lightweight finderscope with all of the features of the F50-2 series but a larger objective. This finder scope gathers 30% more light than the 50 mm finder thanks to its 60 mm f-3.75, fully multi-coated objective. At only 23 ounces, this finderscope is lighter than competitive 50 mm finders! This finder-scope works with all of our standard 50 - 60 mm ring systems except the clamshell. The 60 mm finder-scope comes in a neutral matte black finish that goes well with any telescope regardless of color.
Included with each finderscope is our standard 23 mm, fully multi-coated cross hair eyepiece with wide crosshairs, 1.25" helical focuser, rotating back (requires some finder re-alignment after rotation) and a fully multi-coated correct image erecting prism. The 60mm finderscope has a tube diameter of 63.5 mm.
Note: This is the finderscope only. Visit our 50-60 mm mounting ring page to select the ring system you will need to mount this finderscope to your particular telescope.

Excellent finder scope. Crystal clear upright image. Mounted it on a Meade 10 inch LX90 Schmidt-Cassegrain scope. It's great to be able to stand beside the telescope to use the finder and not have to crawl around on the ground. At 76 yrs old I just don't bend like I used to. I can see that this will also make a great backpacking scope mounted on a short camera tripod.
Great customer service by Stellarvue!
I am extremely pleased with this finder scope. I had considered purchasing a cheaper (inferior) model, but I am glad that I opted for this instead. Sharp as a tack, and the optional reticle illuminator makes the package complete. Great product!
After years of using a recycled Meade finder on my 18" dob, I finally decided it was time to upgrade. Now I regret waiting so long; using the Stellarvue is like having an actual finderscope for the first time. The scope itself is very well made and the views are incredibly sharp. I love the views of the brighter deep sky objects and sometimes find myself switching from the telescope eyepiece to the finderscope to compare. Worth every penny, and has added greatly to my enjoyment of observing with the big dob.
I purchased this after using a stellarvue 50MM on my lxd75 SN8. I mounted this on my LX200 10" . The scope gives clear sharp images and the focus mechanism is able to overcome aberrations in my vision with or without glasses on. I live in an area that has recently experienced an increase in light pollution. I found the larger size helped in locating objects. As always the workmanship is just superb. I can't wait to order the 100deg 20mm eyepiece.
Sharp as a tack. The finish is first class. Quick delivery. I will certainly buy from Stellarvue again.
Great optics though I think it is Chinese made (Kunming). The eye piece could be better by using bigger lens and wide angle. I like the matted black color vs white
Reply for Vic Maris: Thank you for taking the time to make your positive review. You are correct in terms of where these are made. If we made these in our shop the cost would be double for no real improvement in performance so it makes sense to have these made in the far east. We do test each one and return any rejects. These are my original design. I specified in my contract several upgrades to get them to the performance level they are. The fully multi-coated, sharp optics make a big difference. Thanks again.
very nice scope
This 60mm finderscope is the perfect size for my 10" Dob. A 50mm was a bit undersized, a 70 or 80mm too big, but the 60mm is scaled perfectly, and the correct image greatly facilitates star chart usage. Materials and workmanship are primo. The matte black finish of the tube and shade are quite textured, not just flat black paint, and goes well with a black scope tube. Traditionalists (my hand is raised) would probably appreciate a white-tube option, as offered with the 50mm finderscopes. I teamed the finder with Stellarvue's low-profile mounting rings and reticle illuminator for a very versatile installation.
