Product Description
Included with each finder scope is our standard 23 mm fully multi-coated crosshair eyepiece with wide crosshairs, 1.25" helical focuser, rotating back (requires some finder realignment after rotation), and a fully multi-coated correct image erecting prism.
Note: This is the finder scope only. Visit our 50-60 mm mounting ring page to select the ring system you will need to mount this finder scope to your particular telescope.
Important! When installing mounting rings DO NOT unscrew the dew shield. The objective may fall out. Always unscrew the rear assembly (adapter, prism, focuser, eyepiece) from the main tube to install the rings.

A Great Value
I am extremely pleased with this finder scope. I had considered purchasing a cheaper (inferior) model, but I am glad that I opted for this instead. Sharp as a tack, and the optional reticle illuminator makes the package complete. Great product!

Fantastic upgrade
After years of using a recycled Meade finder on my 18" dob, I finally decided it was time to upgrade. Now I regret waiting so long; using the Stellarvue is like having an actual finderscope for the first time. The scope itself is very well made and the views are incredibly sharp. I love the views of the brighter deep sky objects and sometimes find myself switching from the telescope eyepiece to the finderscope to compare. Worth every penny, and has added greatly to my enjoyment of observing with the big dob.

Fantastic Workmanship
I purchased this after using a stellarvue 50MM on my lxd75 SN8. I mounted this on my LX200 10" . The scope gives clear sharp images and the focus mechanism is able to overcome aberrations in my vision with or without glasses on. I live in an area that has recently experienced an increase in light pollution. I found the larger size helped in locating objects. As always the workmanship is just superb. I can't wait to order the 100deg 20mm eyepiece.

Sharp as a tack. The finish is first class. Quick delivery. I will certainly buy from Stellarvue again.

optically good
Great optics though I think it is Chinese made (Kunming). The eye piece could be better by using bigger lens and wide angle. I like the matted black color vs white
Reply for Vic Maris: Thank you for taking the time to make your positive review. You are correct in terms of where these are made. If we made these in our shop the cost would be double for no real improvement in performance so it makes sense to have these made in the far east. We do test each one and return any rejects. These are my original design. I specified in my contract several upgrades to get them to the performance level they are. The fully multi-coated, sharp optics make a big difference. Thanks again. -
EXCELLENT

A "Goldilocks" size finderscope
This 60mm finderscope is the perfect size for my 10" Dob. A 50mm was a bit undersized, a 70 or 80mm too big, but the 60mm is scaled perfectly, and the correct image greatly facilitates star chart usage. Materials and workmanship are primo. The matte black finish of the tube and shade are quite textured, not just flat black paint, and goes well with a black scope tube. Traditionalists (my hand is raised) would probably appreciate a white-tube option, as offered with the 50mm finderscopes. I teamed the finder with Stellarvue's low-profile mounting rings and reticle illuminator for a very versatile installation.

Excellent, superb finderscope
I received recently my new 60mm finderscope from Stellarvue. The first thing I noticed was the excellent quality of construction. Rarely have I seen a findersocpe of such quality. The helical focusing is a delight to use and is very precise. Views through the findersocpe are clear and well defined, with lots of contrast. Very easy to find my viewing targets. Definitely highly recommended. A clear home run from Stellarvue.
