HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE 2018 STELLARVUE DARK SKY STAR PARTY
DSSP 2018 takes place from June 14 - June 16 with a Bonus Night June 17 (out 18th). Stellarvue has exclusively rented the telescope field during these dates. We limit the program to 50 Stellarvue telescope owners who have approved registrations. Begin the registration process by emailing: orders@stellarvue.com. In the email include the following information:
1. Do you need a tent or full hookup RV site? If the weather is warm we highly recommend renting an RV if you do not own one.
2. Will you be attending June 14 - 17 or June 14 - 18?
3. How many people in your party?
4. What model telescopes are you bringing?
5. Since the participation in the program is limited, if registration fills before you apply do you want to be placed on the notification list and notified if a cancellation results in an opening?
WHAT WE NEED BACK AND WHEN WE NEED IT
Once we receive your email we will send you (by email) a complete info sheet with maps and a liability waiver form.
We must receive the following within ten days to confirm your registration:
1. A signed waiver for each participant
2. Payment
3. Shirt size for each person (DSSP 2018 T-Shirt is included!)
Once we receive the waivers and payment we will email your "confirmation of registration" or, if the event is booked we will communicate with you to see if you want to get on the standy list should anyone cancel.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Do not book flights or make any arrangements until we confirm by email that you are officially booked. Then, we recommend you get trip cancellation insurance as we cannot be responsible if the program must be cancelled or if you cancel due to scheduling problems or emergencies. We have never cancelled a program before but insurance will safeguard you against such an unforeseen event happening and you are responsible for all of your expenses. Sorry but you cannot move your current reservation to next year as your payment is used to reimburse expenses made this year. Cancellations will result in a cancellation fee as follows:
25% cancellation fee if you cancel before December 1
50% cancellation fee if you cancel between December 1 and March 1st
No refund if cancellation is made after March 1
Again, we cannot issue refunds due to personal emergencies so we recommend that you take out trip insurance just in case.
