4.5” Reflector

This is a custom made 4.5” f-8 Newtonian reflector with metal rack and pinuion focuser, steel tube, 25 mm eyepiece. It is mounted to our American made Appleply Dobsonian mount with eyepiece tray. Appleply is the most expensive plywood. This one is hand made in California, varnished and is a smooth and stable platform for your telescope. This is a terrific first telescope and is quality throughout. The optics are 1/12 wave.

CN6OTADOB - 6” Celestron Reflector on American Made Dobsonian Mount

This is the same Celestron OTA that comes with their advanced series system that sells for $799. It is a genuine Celestron so there is no worry about optical performance. We have combined this new ota with our American made Appleply Dobsonian mount with eyepiece tray. Appleply is the most expensive plywood. This one is hand made in California, varnished and is a smooth and stable platform for your telescope. This telescope comes with a 30 mm finderscope, Celestron 20 mm eyepiece and hinged rings. There are many questionable 6” dobs on the market. Spend a little more and get a genuine Celestron ota with an American Made Dob mount for no compromise performance. This is a no brainer.

This is the same mount as shown above. It is made of Appleply, the most expensive plywood, uses ebony star laminate against Teflon bearings and has a large machined aluminum tension knob for altitude adjustment. Comes with an eyepiece tray that holds 4 eyepieces. Made in the USA.

The mount will hold up to 102 mm telescopes, comes with slow motion controls, slow motion cables. setting circles, aluminum tripod and tray. This mount is made in Taiwan. You can easily align it for tracking objects by removing the caps in the RA shaft and centering Polaris in the tube. For more accurate alignment, use the polar alignment scope below.

M4 Polar Scope - $19

This is the easy to use polar scope for the M4 mount above.

TPM4 - $79

The M4 mount above will hold two mounting rings with the supplied 6 mm screws. If your telescope is like most and has the Vixen rail, this plate system will convert the M4 into a Vixen-ready, quick release system . Merely attach the plate to the mount with the two screws that come with the mount and you have a spring loaded Vixen shoe ready to accept literally hundreds of telescopes on the market.

M4D1 Motor Drive System - $109

This is the RA motor drive system for the M4 mount. It comes with battery holder, gears and hand control. This drive system will track objects once the are centered in the eyepiece. Great for planetary observers.
