Product Description
This is a larger version of our C19 airline carry-on case. It is made using the same materials and durable construction as our C9S and C130 heavy duty cases. 1” thick padding on all sides, durable rip-stop covering and heavy duty zippers are part of this ultimate solution to import travel cases. This case will hold many short tube telescopes with diagonal, eyepieces and other accessories. The exterior size is 24” X 15” X 9.5”. It may be carried on some (not all) airlines. The main telescope compartment is 21" X 11.5" X 6.5" and it will hold telescopes up to about 21.5” long.

Stellervue C18 case
The case just arrived. It is well made and well padded. I bought it for a Takahashi FC 78 D series APO refractor. I do not have finder scope on the OTA. It has a retractable dew shield. This OTA fits in the case nicely with a 2" mirror diagonal. It will fit the OTA with the straight through visual extensions instead of the 2" diagonal. This case exceeds all my expectations.

C18 Durable Heavy Duty Case
I bought this C18 Heavy Duty case looking for a case that would enable me to transport a C6 SCT OR a 150 mm MCT OTA (both of these have a 7.5 in diameter OTA) as a carry on when I travel. This case will do that. My C6 SCT fits, just barely, but it does fit. The case is very well made and will protect the OTA very well. The long dividers let me snug the OTA down inside the case. It would be good if there were several additional short dividers also, along with the ones that run the length of the case—maybe one 7 inches in length and one 3 inches as cross pieces. I have one complaint about the case. The carry handles are sturdy but are sewn on so that the case is carried flat instead of upright to its length, like a suitcase normally is. Carrying the case this way in an airport, especially down an airliner aisle when boarding and getting off of a plane, makes things more difficult than they need to be in those crowded conditions. I would request a Stellarvue response—Why did they make the carry handles this way? Was there a reason that is helpful? That is really my only issue and it’s not a big one. I highly recommend this case and I am very pleased with my purchase. It will really protect my OTA, that I am using for a travel scope, very well.

C18 Case
Easy to order online, shipped quickly, and received well packaged and undamaged. My 80mm F/7 (not a Stellarvue, sorry) fits perfectly snug with the original foam inserts. Very happy I made this choice.

C18 Case
Great case. My Explore Scientific ED102Cf fits perfectly. Also room for the finderscope and a few other accessories. Very well constructed with just the right amount of padding. Everything is well protected for travel and storage. A very good investment.

Great Padded Carrying / Storage Case!
I originally encountered this case when I purchased the Stellavue SVQ100-3FT telescope. The case was a perfect match for that scope and I fell in love with it. In fact, I liked it so much that I purchased a second case to use to carry and store many of the accessories that I need on hand when I'm doing my astro-imaging. Like all Stellarvue products, this a winner in my book!

A case worthy of a scope.
I was lucky enough to acquire a used SV102. It did not come with a case so I ordered one of these. This is a luxurious case made out of strong materials and tough zippers that won't break with constant use. I like hard cases usually, but these cases protect the scope well enough that I don't worry.

Almost overbuilt ....
Bigger and hevier than expected, but solid protection. Using with my TV-85, canalso store the diagonal, finder, Powermate and various photo adapters and extension tubes. Great improvement over standard TV soft case.
