The F050M3 finder scope is similar to our F050G guide scope except the focuser rotates when you focus and it includes our E3023R reticle eyepiece. So this version is designed to be used "visually" out of the box. This finder scope weighs 18 ounces and works with all our standard 50 mm ring systems. It employs a high-quality 210 mm focal length and broadband fully multi-coated objective lens, the same as our top-rated F050M2 finder scopes. Other fittings are black anodized. Main tube interior is painted in ultra flat black. Focuser is lubricated for improved stability and smoothness. Tube is 54.5 mm in diameter; dew shield is approximately 58 mm in diameter. The length is 9 1/4” - 9 3/4”.
The F050M3 fits on either our 50-60 mm finder scope rings or our R076 guide scope dual ring systems. It can be converted to a photographic guide scope by replacing the helical focuser and adapter with an optional non-rotating helical focuser. So if you plan to use this as a finder and guide scope it probably makes more sense to purchase the F050G guide scope and then purchase the finder scope eyepiece separately.
Important! When installing mounting rings DO NOT unscrew the dew shield. The objective may fall out. Always unscrew the rear assembly (adapter, prism, focuser, eyepiece) from the main tube to install the rings.
