SVX180T - The Helix

Nicola Beltraminelli took this stunning image of the Helix Nebula (NGC 7293) using his SVX180T. This planetary nebula is located in the constellation Aquarius and lies about 650 light-years away, spanning about 2.5 light-years. The remnant central stellar core of this nebula is so energetic that it causes the previously expelled gasses to give off a bright fluorescent glow.
