Excellent Finderscope!
If you want to do visual astronomy without using any GoTo or PushTo system, then having a large finder really helps. The (brighter) deep sky targets are hard to spot in smaller aperture finders, especially in light polluted skies, but this 80mm aperture finderscope has no issues in that regard. It is relatively lightweight, and the build quality, the feel of the focuser is superb as well. I was in two (or three) minds whether to settle for the 50mm or 60mm aperture considering the size and weight, but Vic assured me that this was indeed light enough. Glad I did not settle for a smaller aperture; this one is working well on my 10-in Dob. Also, this could well be used as a little handheld, grab&go scope by itself when you don't really want to set up any larger scopes, as you could change the eyepieces. The illuminator for the crosshair is good too. No regrets. Great package, overall.
