Included with each finder scope is our standard 23 mm, 50 degree, fully multi-coated crosshair eyepiece, 1.25" helical focuser, rotating back (requires some finder re-alignment after rotation) and a fully multi-coated correct image erecting prism. This combination will give you a field of view of about 7 full moons or 3.5 degrees. This is about as large a field as the erecting prism will allow.
You can increase the field up to 5 degrees by converting it to a 2" straight thru finder scope using our 2" helical focuser. This focuser combined without 26 mm wide field 2" eyepiece will give you a fov of about 5 degrees! Please note, you cannot use a diagonal in this configuration. If you add a diagonal the point of focus will be inside the diagonal so eyepieces cannot come to focus. So, you are limited to straight through viewing with 2" eyepieces. Most eyepieces cannot provide a sharp field of view with a lens as fast as f-4.1. So, while you will have an enormously wide field be advised that you will have coma as you move outward toward the edge of the field. Since this is a finder scope most people do not care about this as they focus on the center and watch for the object coming into the field of view with averted vision.
Important! When installing mounting rings DO NOT unscrew the dew shield. The objective may fall out. Always unscrew the rear assembly (adapter, prism, focuser, eyepiece) from the main tube to install the rings.
*Rear thread size for all F080 models is M82 x 1mm
