If you intend on using the ZWO Electronic Auto Focuser (EAF) with our 3" Stellarvue focuser (3SV), then you will need to order this kit. Included are two screws and washers necessary for installing the EAF to your 3" Stellarvue focuser.

- Version 1 (newer version): (2) M3 x 25 caphead screws and (2) 3mm washers
- Version 2 (older version): (2) M3 x 22 caphead screws and (2) 3mm washers.
If you are ordering this kit with a new telescope, then you will certainly be receiving our newer version 3" Stellarvue focuser. However, if you already have one of our scopes and are unsure which version you have, you will need to check out our EAF installation manuals for both versions:
Both installation manuals start by helping you identify which version 3" Stellarvue focuser you have. From there, select the installation manual that applies to you, for a step-by-step guide to installing your EAF to our 3SV.
If you are installing your EAF to a Feather Touch (Starlight Instruments), or any other rack and pinion focuser, refer to ZWO's installation manual: https://i.zwoastro.com/zwo-website/manuals/EAF_Manual_EN_V2.4.pdf
The screws and washers included in our EAF Kit is only needed for 3" Stellarvue focusers and is NOT needed for other brands like Feather Touch.
Electronic focusers such as the Moonlite Nitecrawler have built in electronic auto focusing, as well as an automatic rotating feature. So, generally speaking, selecting an electronic focuser would eliminate the need for a separate auto focuser, such as the EAF.
