Dovetail combination shoe - Losmandy and Vixen size

After playing around with a review sample of a cheap imported shoe, I ordered this for my Stellarvue M6HD. The differences between the Stellarvue and the import are not subtle. The machining on the Stellarvue unit is exceedingly precise. There are no gaps, no slop, no unwanted movement. The screws and jaw are made with a precision you’d expect to find on machine tools. There’s no danger of this clamp loosening in use and dropping your expensive OTA.

Looks good and works well. Well machined and very solid. Should last many years.

Very well made product, the slots come in real handy for matching most hole patterns.

Would be 5 stars but the 1/4” attachment is not practical for most heavy duty tripods which use 3/8”. I had to buy an adapter that was capable of supporting quite a bit of weight to make this work. They should make a 3/8” version of this or else tap for both diameters.

Beautifully machined, precision fit. Spring loaded design holds jaws open while you seat mounting plate. Dual clamping for additional strength and safety.

I had a custom mounting application with limited space, Alex swapped out the larger SV knobs for smaller ones and custom made mounting screws for me. Great customer service!
