Save $115! Get our best new M002CX mount head with a heavy-duty column and a heavy-duty, rolled-steel tripod. This is our ultra-smooth grab-and-go set-up for our 80 mm - 130 mm refractors. We are now shipping all M002 mounts with the new, higher-capacity TDLV-XS shoe. This shoe works with both Stellarvue and Rowan mounts.

The heavy-duty rolled-steel tripod has an underside brace that holds eyepieces. The tripod by itself weighs 16 pounds but has a large capacity. The attachment bolt is M12 x 1.75. Both the column and the mount head are built at our shop in Auburn, California, USA. The head includes precision-ground stainless steel shafts, stainless steel roller bearings, and a big 3" Teflon bearing on each axis.

With the M002CX mount head (with dual Vixen and Losmandy-style shoe) and the MEC012 column attached, the telescope will sit 42" - 64" high when positioned horizontally, depending on how far the tripod legs are extended. The complete mounting setup will hold a 25-pound telescope.

You can now add our MH-X Handle Upgrade Kit for the TDLV-XS. This handle offers leverage to the user for finer adjustments and smooth operation.

The total weight for the tripod, column, and mount head together is 24.4 pounds.

Tripod is approximately 35 inches when collapsed and 48 inches when extended.
