23 mm 1.25" Reticle Eyepiece - Accepts Optional Illuminator - E3023R

Very well made, bright and sharp eyepiece. Used with optional reticle illuminator. Makes centering planets easy on a small sensor for astrophotography. Especially appreciate the build quality of the illuminator versus the older one it replaced.

I purchased this reticle eyepiece along with the E1002 illuminator for aligning my Go-To telescope. The build quality is excellent. The reticle focus is easy to use and the illuminator is smooth and brightness easy to adjust. I use eyeglasses and the eye relief is excellent. My only complaint is that the eyecup is difficult to fold down.

Good product. I was bale to use an illuminator I already had in my inventory, saving me money on having to buy a new one. The 24mm focal length works well with my 1500mm focal length scope, giving me enough sky to find an object for alignment purposes. Quality of build is very high and optics are good. However, I was unable to put any filters on the 1.25" end of the eyepiece. It appeared to be threaded, but none of my filters would fit. I guess this eyepiece will be a specialty piece that will only help me align my Celestron Nexstar 6SE. Before I placed my order, I called Stellarvue and immediately spoke with the owner who answered my questions quite well. Very refreshing!
