Excellent Solid Mount
I have the basic AZ100 Alt-Az mount, with mounting plates on each side. I am mounting it on a Berlebach Planet tripod. Primarily I am using this with my SVX130T.In lieu of encoders, I am using a Pi Finder, which is an open-source Raspberry Pi-based plate solving push-to guider. I sync that up wirelessly with Sky Safari, which allows me to select an object, and then the PI Finder tells me which directions and how many degrees to push. Also, as I point the scope, the cursor in Sky Safari shows what I am pointing at.
The AZ100 Mount / Berlebach Planet combo is extremely solid with the SVX130T - so I'm not surprised that people have successfully used it with bigger scopes.
The slow-motion controls work very smoothly, and the mount seems to be very well made of high quality materials. One minor complaint is the the clutch knobs could be larger - I am tempted to wrap some grippy tape on them to make it easier to snug them down enough to stabilize the scope while setting up and before the rig is balanced. With this combo, 1" risers are needed to clear the tripod at the zenith.
