Excellent quality sturdy build

These rings all have long handled, nylon tipped holder screw bolts..easy to grab even with gloves these nice screws aren't even the best feature. The tube rings are some of the best around. They are substantial, anodized and won't wobble. The best part of all three? The super substantial foot! This is a true Synta/Vixen style foot. It is longer than many shoes allowing you to position it wherever you need and not worry about your finder hitting some part of the tube rings or focuser. Just plain substantial.

I needed a better finder scope ring that provides adjustment with both rings and this product meets this need.

The usual high quality Strellarvue product nicely finished in satin black anodize. Love the low profile mounting rail and no-mar squishy tipped adjusters. The shorter ring spacing is just the right fit for the FO50M2 50mm RACI finder. I also have the long rail version for use with a guide scope and both provide an excellent way to mount a finder or guider.

My hot tip for Stellarvue guide scope users is to use the Stellarvue one-piece clamshell fastened to an appropriate dovetail clamp for your top dovetail for a zero flexure mount. Depending on the quality of your dovetails and mounting rings you may need to make minor adjustments shifting the top dovetail on the rings within the screw holes, same for the clamshell to the dovetail clamp. That said you do not need to get it perfect just close and let PHD2 do the rest.

I have a SVX102T. These finder rings let you use a 5 1/8 inch V-bar and you can then place the finder scope on forward telescope ring and that makes it a lot easier to balance the telescope with a minimum amount of weight.

These work great for my finder and on my new SVX 127D!
