    Product Description

     This is a combination shoe that will hold either style mounting plate or rail. The wide jaw will hold the standard Losmandy style D rail and the narrower jaw holds the Vixen style rail. This newer version of the shoe has a set of heavy duty springs and guiding pins.for greater stability. We assemble these pricision machined parts in our shop in Auburn, California. It has a slotted bottom for mounting to parts that have varying hole spacing. Designed for mounting with 1/4-20 screws, this newer version also accomodates M6 screws for imported products. This is the same spring loaded, dovetail shoe used on the most recent Stellarvue M2C mount head.

    The TDLV is 6" long and it has a 1/4-20 threaded hole in the center bottom. Two 1/4" slots allow the shoe to be mounted with two 1/4-20 or 6mm socket cap head screws that are between 1 1/4" and 5" apart.

      Needs 3/8”

      Would be 5 stars but the 1/4” attachment is not practical for most heavy duty tripods which use 3/8”. I had to buy an adapter that was capable of supporting quite a bit of weight to make this work. They should make a 3/8” version of this or else tap for both diameters.

      Beautifully machined, precision fit. Spring loaded design holds jaws open while you seat mounting plate. Dual clamping for additional strength and safety. I had a custom mounting application with limited space, Alex swapped out the larger SV knobs for smaller ones and custom made mounting screws for me. Great customer service!
