SVX90T - Lagoon

Davide Mancini captured this surreal shot of the Lagoon Nebula (M8) in Sagittarius with his SVX90T. This emission nebula rests 4,100 light-years away from Earth and is one of only two star-forming nebulae, faintly visible to the naked eye from mid-northern latitudes. Contained within its structure is young open cluster NGC 6530, which is thought by scientists to be expanding, particularly to the north and south. #stellarvue
