Brian Poole caught this incredible shot of the Shrimp Nebula (Sh2-188) in Cassiopeia with his SVX152T. This planetary nebula is located approximately 850 light-years away from Earth and has a diameter of about 9 light-years. While most planetary nebulae are symmetrical in shape, this one is not. This is likely due to the incredibly fast rate of speed this object is believed to be moving at; about 300,000 miles per hour. As it passes through layers of interstellar medium, its shape is impacted, making it asymmetrical as a result.
