Mark Cormier captured this brilliant shot of the Pacman Nebula (NGC 281) in Cassiopeia with his SVX152T. This bright emission nebula rests 9,500 light-years away from Earth and is part of the Milky Way’s Perseus Spiral Arm. It was discovered by Edward Emerson Barnard in August of 1883. The lane of dark dust to the right of this nebula, cuts into the glowing gas, giving this object its unique shape.
