SVX152T - Fox Fur Nebula

Micah Nowack captured this mind-boggling image of the Fox Fur Nebula in Monoceros with his SVX152T. This object is an emission and reflection nebula that glows red from ionized hydrogen and blue from reflecting dust near hot, newborn stars. It is catalogued as NGC 2264 and Sh2-273. The Fox Fur Nebula is 30 to 50 light-years wide and is located 2,700 light-years away from Earth.
