This stunning solar storm image was submitted to us by Ron Kramer. Following last year's solar eclipse, we haven't given much attention to our own star. Ron used his SV80, and say's "I love my SV80 - it was my first imaging scope." Attatched to his SV80, Ron used a Daystar Quark filter, an ASI174m camera, and Astro-Physics Mach 1 mount.
Ron has his own observatory in Michigan (Lucille R. Dressander Observatory), and he tells us he can control everything from his office desk. Very impressive Ron. Thanks again for sharing this with us. Image is a copyright of Ron R. Kramer. You can see more at https://www.facebook.com/Ron.R.Kramer/
