NGC2238 Rosette Nebula - Glenn Bargabus - Stellarvue

This colorful Rosette Nebula image was submitted to us by Glenn Bargabus. We love the combination of high-contrast stars and soft feathered nebula. To “Own the Night,” Glenn used his Stellarvue 130mm Triplet with a SFF3-3ft-48 Flattener on an Orion Atlas EQ-G mount. His imaging camera, a D800 with ISO 1275, and 93 x 90 second subs. Integration was 2.3 hours.

Glenn captured the image November 7, 2018, at the Catherine Creek Trailhead in Southern Washington under a Bortle Dark-Sky scale of 4.00.We want to thank Glenn for allowing us to share this with the Stellarvue family. We hope you all appreciate it as much as we do. Glenn also sent us a photo of his rig to share with you. Rosette Nebula image and telescope photo are copyright of Glenn Bargabus.
