Superb Field Flattener
I'm impressed with the optical and mechanical quality of the SFFX1, and with the fact that Vic personally advised me on the proper set of spacers to allow excellent results on both my SVX152T and SVX127D refractors! The imaging train on both telescopes is rock solid using this field flattener and the mating Stellarvue spacers.

I purchased the SFFX1 flattener to go with my SV080ST. The machine work and quality of this flattener is beyond my expectations! Thanks Stellarvue

First Impressions
The flattener is solidly made. I particularly like that it is not adjustable. Stellarvue has chosen to use extensions to reach the proper backfocus for the imaging train. I would recommend buying the SFA-M63F48-005 ring and filter adapter if you are not going to be using a filter wheel. I realized this and purchased it even before my scope arrived. The lenses were super clean and it came well packed (over packed?). Attaching this to the scope is easy and adding filters will not cause changes like adjustable flatteners do. I have been able to use this one night. The stars are perfectly round, even to the corners. This is a must for astrophotography and I can say that the quality is in line with what I expect from Stellarvue.

SFFX1 Performance
Bought this to optimize my SVX102T-R for astrophotography with the ZWO ASI533MC Pro camera. Using this with manual focus on the 3" FT focuser I see no distortion across the complete field in my images. Very well made and absolute perfect fit.

SFFX1 Flattener
A flattener is needed on refractors to produce a perfectly flat field of stars. This is designed for the SV scopes. I had on my SV130 and bought a second for my SV80. It works great!
