This is our top rated M002CX mount with standard column mounted to our the new Denali 2 tripod.
This newest version of the Denali tripod weighs less than earlier models. It employs 6061-T6 aluminum upper legs, Appleply lower legs and is made specifically to work with our standard MEC column. The tripod has its own column base. Leg height adjusters apply pressure with two knobs per leg. Simply loosen the knobs and extend the leg to the desired height. The tripod is higher than former models standing about 35" to 45" high depending on how it is adjusted. Note that the column and M002C mount add about 13 1/2" to the center height. So, when the telescope is pointed horizontally, its center will be between 48.5" and 58.5" high.The mount legs lock when the legs are spread to the proper angle.
New Optional Tray: An Appleply wooden accessory tray may be added optionally to hold your eyepieces, star diagonal, filters and other accessories. This tripod is designed to hold hold Stellarvue telescopes up to the SVX127D using the Stellarvue M002C mount and column. We do not recommend this setup for our larger telescopes.
This tripod is sent fully assembled and tested. All you need to do is attach the column, M002C mount head and the tray if it is also purchased. We are in full production now and will be delivering these tripods in June.
