2. Handle for Stellarvue Mounts - #MH

Works well with my M2C mount. Solid and well built. A good length with some options for positioning. Another great Stellarvue product.

While you can steer a telescope on an alt-az mount by grabbing the tube and moving it, a separate handle makes it easier, and makes it less likely that you’ll shift focus or knock something loose- especially when using smaller, lighter, scopes. This handle is well made and attractively priced.

Well-made. The handle is 12" long. The picture of the handle makes it appear longer. I found I need a little more leverage than 12" gives for my 20lbs of scope. One side of the rod because of the bend, is shorter than the other. So it's important to note the rubber handle slides off, and both ends of the rod is drilled horizontally and vertically. This allows for some adjustability.

I should have known better to buy the handle when I bought the mount. The handle is solid and well built. Its a must to own and use with mount because now my hands dont touch the focuser when tracking. Stellar Vue products are the bomb!

Quick and secure shipping. Very well made. Have to figure out the best way to connect to allow for use near Zenith. Waiting for a chance to use it.

Probably should be a 5-star, but I have a couple of things I'd note that could be better. First off, the quality is high. Note 1: The handle has a little wiggle to it after being screwed in tightly. I simply added a little rubber sticker/pad between the handle and clamp before tightening it, and that wiggle is gone. Note 2: The handle isn't very long and is bent. So when you're looking towards the zenith the handle will align itself with the pillar, and then rotating the azimuth becomes difficult. A longer or slightly straighter handle might work better. But overall, I'm very pleased to have added it. Good buy and good price.

It is an accessory for the MC2, but one that works and servers the user's ability to quickly look at stellar objects.

Do you really need this? No. Are you going to wish you had it if you bought the M002 without it? Yes. Just do yourself a favor and buy it. :)

The handle attaches very easily and makes guiding your telescope so much easier. Very well made.
