26th Jun 2023

Barry Flansburg took this image of M63 "The Sunflower Galaxy" using his SVX180T.

According to Barry, "This image of M63, the Sunflower Galaxy, was taken May 21-22, 2023 with a Stellarvue SVX180T refractor with the SFFX-2 field flattener. The telescope was mounted on a Paramount MX+ and a ZWO ASI6200MM camera was used with Chroma LRGBHa filters. The image is a stack of 42 3-minute luminance subs, fourteen 3-minute subs each of red, green, and blue, and fourteen 10-minute subs of Ha for a total exposure of 6.5 hours. It was processed using Astro Pixel Processor and Photoshop. Taken from my backyard observatory at the New Mexico Astronomy Village near Deming, New Mexico."
