Comet Passing Double Cluster - Charles Lillo

Comet Passing Double Cluster - Charles Lillo

Posted by Stellarvue on 21st Feb 2020

This week’s StellarShot of Comet C/2017 T2 and NGC 869 and NGC 884 AKA “The Double Cluster,” was submitted by Charles Lillo. To “Own the Night” Charles used his Stellarvue SVA EDT 130mm refractor. He mentions it was a lucky shot, but most of the time you have to be there to get lucky, right?. In any case, we’re happy to share Charles’ good fortunes. Charles wrote this: "This was a lucky shot, while waiting for another object to rise, I slewed to the Double cluster and to my surprise Comet panstarrs was in my frame."

Details:
4 hours 3 RGB clusters, 1 hour RGB on the comet.
Taken from the dark skies at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park.
Telescope: Stellarvue SVA EDT 130
