3. M002CS Complete Mount System - Stainless steel tripod

I was needing a good grab and go mount for my Stellarvue 4" F11 Achromat refractor and this complete mounting system fits the bill. Very sturdy stainless steel tripod and the MC2 mount is silky smooth. Looks great too. An excellent value at $599.

I needed a good tripod and mount for my 111mm refractor telescope that weighs about 14 1/2 pounds with the finder scope. The mount I had it on before just didn't cut it. When in use, the telescope moves smoothly and stays in place when you stop its motion. Although the mount doesn't have slo-motion knobs, I really don't miss them.
