The Stellarvue Telescope Handle allows users to pick up and move their telescopes in a more balanced and stable way. Our handle is made of solid aluminum and has an 800 pound pull capacity. It mounts on both sides of the handle for greater security, a real plus when moving our larger instruments. The handle has a generous 5 5/8" opening and screws in place with a 6 7/16" mounting hole width. Included are two combination dovetail shoes already attached for quick and easy installation and balancing. It will attach quickly to either a D (Losmandy Style) or V (Vixen style) rail. Simply mount either of these rails on top of your rings and this handle system will slide onto it. Tighten both knobs well and the handle will stay securely in place.
The dovetail bases are black anodized and the handle is powercoated in a textured black finish that is UV resistant.
The picture above shows a V-rail for illustration purposes only. If you need a top rail for your telescope make sure it will accomodate your current ring spacing. It is recommended you use the same type of rail on top that you use on the bottom. Visit our Rails Page to see our complete selection of mounting rails if you need one.
