Stellar Shot of the Week: September 17, 2021
"Eastern Veil Nebula" (by Larry Amman)

Congratulations to this week's Stellar Shot selection, which goes to Larry Amman and his brand-new SVX140T! Larry did both the Eastern and Western portions of the Veil, and we'll probably feature the other half eventually as well but the Eastern side was our personally favorite of the two. The details Larry is able to pull are absolutely spectacular here, both in the bright (often blown-out) regions as well as the faint wispy regions around the outer edges of the main structures. The background has a wonderful velvety-black to it as well, but the colors do not feel overly contrast-heavy or darkened. Great work to Larry, and we look forward to sharing more of his work with you all down the road.

And please make sure to submit your own images to us in the meantime by email (mail@stellarvue.com) or by tagging them with #stellarvue and #stellarshot.
