Wide dovetail plate attaches directly to mounts using the wider Losmandy style plate (Losmandy, Celestron CGEM, CGE-PRO, etc). This 9" plate is highly recommended for all our telescopes, especially for those 115mm and larger. Plate has a center mounting slot and two sets of 1/4" holes 1.5" wide spaced 5" apart. This plate is recommended for our telescopes up to our SV130. Made in the USA on our CNC machines using 6061 T6 aluminum.

This plate pairs perfectly with my SV102-Access, allowing me to move the V-plate that came with the scope to the top of the rings to use as a handle and have the D-plate as the primary mounting plate.
I wanted to put a D-plate on the new 102-Access I purchased and move the V-plate that the scope comes with to the top side of the rings to use as a handle. The 9 inch D-plate is the perfect length and hole spacing to allow me to mount it and still use the V-plate.
I'm working on consolidating my devices and cables and this is a perfect platform to mount atop my SVR90 telescope. It's wide and exactly fits in the space above the rings that come with the scope. The drilled holes match up exactly. I'll be placing an AC power supply, a D/C power regulator, a multi-hub USB strip and an Intel Compute Strip, stacked on top the dovetail plate and held in place with Velcro strapping. Short lines will then run to my mount (a Celestron AVX), CCD Camera, focuser, guide camera, etc. Only one line will actually hang down -- either an AC plug or D/C battery connection depending upon my location and available AC. The rail will also allow me to mount my Canon Eos Camera for sidereal tracked nightscape photography.
I purchased this plate in conjunction with the hinged mounting rings to attach my camera and 150-450 mm long zoom to my 80 mm Stellarview SV80. This will be my rig for this summer's total solar eclipse. I wanted something easily hauled around, in case I'd have to dodge clouds. This combo worked perfectly. Well made, and perfectly compatible.
The fit and finish of the rail is excellent. The rail is too short to allow balancing the scope for both visual and astrophotography uses. I will replace it with an 11" rail for use with a 102T on a CGEM mount. The rail is fine for either visual or photographic uses with this setup, but switching back and forth requires adjustment of the scope mount clamps.
Well-made. Precisely machined. Very nice and works perfectly.
