The SV80ED uses the same lens as the venerable Nighthawk Next Generation Deluxe. We have combined the venerable 80mm ED doublet optic with our new carbon fiber tube and produced our lightest ED telescope ever. This hand figured, extra low dispersion doublet will provide sharp high contrast views. The SVR80ED Raptor has quickly become our most popular 80mm telescope offering the lightest weight, sharpest doublet optics and smoothest dual speed focuser.

The SVR80ED has a lightweight carbon fiber tube and dewshield. It weighs only 4 pounds without the ring, 5.5 pounds with. It comes with a cnc clamshell ring, Vixen rail, 2” dual speed focuser with a 1.25” compression ring adapter, and foam lined, airline carry-on case.
