SV 80ED

The SV80ED has a lightweight aluminum tube and dew shield. It weighs only 4.8 pounds without the ring, 6.4 pounds with it. It comes with a cnc clamshell ring, flat mounting base with three 1/4-20 threaded holes, 2.5” Stellarvue rack and pinion, dual speed focuser with 2” and 1.25” compression ring adapters.

Vixen Rail

If you want to use your SVR80ED with any mount that uses a Vixen shoe (Vixen mounts, Celestron CG5, Stellarvue mounts that come with a vixen shoe, many import mounts), add this rail. This Vixen rail is a solid piece of 6061-T6 aluminum machined here in our cnc shop. It mounts directly to the mounting base of the clamshell.

Losmandy Plate

If you want to use your SVR80ED with any mount that uses the larger Losmandy plate (Losmandy mounts, Celestron CGEM, CGEMDX and CGE Mounts), add this plate. This Losmany type plate is made from a solid piece of 6061-T6 aluminum machined here in our cnc shop. It mounts directly to the mounting base of the clamshell.

Stellarvue field flattener for  astrophotography
This system will  flatten the field photographically to increase the in-focus image circle. Threads onto the new 2.5” focuser to eliminate misalignment. The camera mounts to it using a standard photographic t-thread.

This new, heavy duty travel case is made to last. It has 1” thick pads on all sides including the adjustable dividers. Zippers are heavy duty and the rip-stop black surface is much more durable than imported hard cases. The outside dimensions of this case is 24” X 14” x 8.5”. It has a heavy duty carrying strap with Velcro closure. This case will hold your telescope with the 2” diagonal in place and numerous accessories including eyepieces and other supplies.

Celestron VX EQ Computerized EQ mount.
