Hinged Ring Sets

90 mm dual hinged rings. 90 mm ID with five 1/4-20 threaded holes top and bottom. This includes a center hole, two holes that are 1.5” apart and two holes that are 60 mm apart.

105 mm dual hinged rings. Used on our 102 - 105 mm telescopes, these rings work with Stellarvue 105 mm OD tubes. They are not sized for other brands telescopes. The rings have five 1/4-20 threaded holes top and bottom. This includes a center hole, two holes that are 1.5” apart and two holes that are 60 mm apart.

5” Dual Rings. 5” ID. The rings have five 1/4-20 threaded holes top and bottom. This includes a center hole, two holes that are 1.5” apart and two holes that are 60 mm apart.

Clamshell Rings

90 mm Clamshell Ring. Used on our 80 and 90mm telescopes. Fit 90 mm OD tubes. Comes with a Vixen mounting rail. The rail attaches the telescope directly to mounts using the standard Vixen sized dovetail shoe, such as the Celestron CG5. The rail has 1/4-20 threaded holes on the bottom for mounting the telescope directly to a camera tripod or for attaching the TP6 (Losmandy sytle rail) to the clamshell.

Guide Scope Rings

Guidescopes are used as super finders and for guiding the main telescope when imaging. When mounting a guidescope on top of another telescope, it is necessary to use adjustable rings such as those pictured to the right. Adjustable rings allow the guidescope to be moved slightly in relation to the main telescope. This is necessary because if simple hinged rings were used for both telescopes, they would be pointed in slightly different directions. When using a guidescope as a super finder, adjustable rings will allow the user to make sure each telescope is centered on the same object. When doing astro-photography, adjustable rings will make it possible to point the guidescope at a relatively bright guide star for guiding while the main telescope is centered on the object being photographed.
