M150 Isostatic Mount
This is our largest mount and tripod. It in our Auburn, California shop using 6061-t6 aluminum, stainless steel and full thickness hardwood (maple or walnut). The M150 replaces the M7 and uses a larger 6” azimuth bearing increasing it’s capacity. Combined with our TSL7 wood pier/tripod, this mount/tripod combination is relatively light but extremely smooth and stable. Mount a 130 on one side and a 90 on the other. It will glide effortlessly around the sky literally disappearing.
Eaqch axis uses both stainless roller bearings and Teflon thrust bearings offering extremely rigid yet butter smooth movement. Delrin faced aluminum clamping rings allow the user to set tension and hold telescopes in place at any angle. One can tighten the mount solid but the real joy comes from having it loose enough to move effortlessly with the slightest push, yet tight enough that it stops when and where you want it.
Find out why users say, “once you go here, you never want to go back.” See what a real American mount can be made to do. Enjoy the heavens with a mount that literally disappears - allowing you to float from one object to the next.
