Made for our 80mm short tube telescopes, this mount is lighter and features instant set up. The up and down, left and right motions are easy for newcomers to master and it works well for both daytime and nighttime viewing. This mount can be mounted directly on a camera tripod with an elevator platform or to our TA Surveyor's tripod and MECA column. The column is required to mate the mount to the Surveyor's tripod.

Small M1 Alt Azimuth Mount for Stellarvue 80 mm telescopes

Use this "Grab and Go" mount for Stellarvue 80 mm telescopes only. The mount itself will attach to any heavy duty camera tripod using a 3/8-16 bolt and having an elevator extension. You can also use the mount on heavy duty Surveyor's Tripods like our #TA sold below with the addition of the MECA column also sold below. This mount uses smooth 2" Teflon bearings has tension adjustment on both altitude and azimuth axis.  #M1

Heavy Duty Surveyor's Tripod with Appleply tray

The is not the lightweight import tripods you often see sold with import mounts. This is a heavier duty, longer Surveyor's tripod using the standard 5/8-11 mounting bolt. The tray stabilizes the tripod even more. To attach the tray, just pop it in. No screws or nuts just place it into the holder and you are good to go!

This tripod is made to work with our M1 mount with the addition of the MECA column sold above. Mount and column sold separately.

MOUNT ACCESSORIES
Mount Handle.

A 5/8" diameter aluminum rod with a foam handle for ease in moving the mount around the heavens. Handle bolts directly to either the TD2 or TD7 dovetails so this handle works with any of the Stellarvue Alt Azimuth mounts. This new design is curved so it does not interfere with the telescope. Compact design. Black anodized finish with soft foam handle, excellent under cold conditions.

Vixen style Dovetail rail for dual rings

Small Vixen style dovetail rail for use with the M1 mount above. Made for use with telescopes having dual mounting rings. This rail works with our standard  M1 or M3 mounts and may also be used on GP, EQ5, CG5 and other similar mounts. Has side slots for the safety screw used on GP type mounts. 5.4" long.  #TP5
