The M7 is a solid and smooth Isostatic mount providing a substantial improvement over the smaller, lighter alt az mounts. The ergonomics, bearings, load capacity and smoothness of the M7 is unsurpassed. The new M7 now has a 35 pound capacity and improved locking ability in both azimuth and altitude for changing loads and handling different sized telescopes simultaneously. Do not compare this mount with smaller, lighter units. This massive alt azimuth mount has a 5" azimuth bearing surface, oversized Teflon and stainless roller bearings on each axis. Adjust tension on both axis and you simply glide through the sky smoothly and stop completely when you arrive at the object. This mount must be experienced to be appreciated. No more pushing a mount that sticks or shoots past the object. Glide effortlessly from one object to the next. This latest version has independent adjustment locks allowing you to vary the degree of tension even better. This mount is so smooth that slow motion controls are redundant. The Stableglide "disappears" when you use it. Counterweights and precise balancing is not necessary unless you are using a single, heavy telescope. They are available separately.

Stellarvue TSL6 Pier Tripod for M7

This is the most beautiful and stable tripod we have ever made. The legs are solid walnut with a beautiful spar finish. Two aluminum adjustment knobs are used with each leg to increase rigidity. Legs are attached to a 4" diameter aluminum column with heavy duty cnc attachments. The column adds 10" of height allowing the use of longer telescopes. This mount is made specifically for the M7 but it also works great with other mounts like the venerable Discmounts. It may be modified for use with other mounts. This latest version features three aluminum channels that fold up when the mount is stored and attach to the bottom of the column with a single knob when setting the tripod up for use. This makes getting ready a breeze. The entire combination is absolutely rock solid. 3/8-16 attachment bolt on top (but other bolts can be specified). The M7 attaches directly to the top of this pier/tripod. Tripod weight 27 pounds. Height to top of base 38 1/2" - 50".  #TSL6.
